This page will allow you to look at each part of the existing system and see how it will change

Mechanical

Main Plant Items

 
The Main Plant Item Form will be replaced by an Item Header form

I and E

 

Control Valves
 The Control Valves each have a register which is Control Valve specific. This will be replaced by a Item Header form which has been configured to capture the correct type of information.
 

CV Register
The Control Valve Form will be replaced by an Item Header form 

 

Failures

All failures will use the generic Failure Note. This will have aspects which are configured specifically for Control Valves
 

Maintenance Policies


DCS / PES systems


Item Headers will be created for each DCS / PES system. The documents below will typically use the Note to File functionality to meet Mick Vaugn's current needs

Item Top Sheets


These will be replaced by the Item Header. The Item header will be configured to suit DCS / PES items

Change Index


This will use the Note to File functionality with equipment specific configuration.

Fault Reports


All failures will use the generic Failure Note. This will have aspects which are configured specifically for DCS / PES systems

Disaster Recovery Plans


This will use the Note to File functionality with equipment specific configuration.

Software Backups


This will use the Note to File functionality with equipment specific configuration.

Miscellaneous


This will use the Note to File functionality with equipment specific configuration.

Haz Area Inspection


The Hazerdous Area Inspections will be modernised in terms of look and feel but will remain essentially the same. Click on the Hazerdous Area Inspection for details

E and I Equipment

 
 E and I Equipment will be treated as all other Equipment Items with Item Header functionality etc..
There will be views of Item Headers by manufacturer and model

 

Trace Heating
 
 There are no Trace Heating Records. Any future Trace Heating can be treated at either Item level for the coresponding MPI or an Item Header can be created specifically for Trace Heating.

 

Infrastructure


Infrastructure ( Swich houses and transformers ) will be treated as other equipment with an Item Header and Note to File functionality as required.

Fire and Ambulance Alarms


Fire and Ambulance alarms will be treated as Protective Systems

Last Line of Defence

 
An Item Header will be created for each LLOD item as per other EI items. The LLOD inspection sheet will be retained but brought up to the latest standard in terms of Looka nd Feel

 

Motors


Motors will be recorded on Motor Data Sheets which are linked to Items of Equipment

Failures of motors will be treated as failures of the parent item
consider a check box or dropdown to indicate it was a motor failure

Process Control


see TQ - Not to be imported into the new database

Shift Log

 
A basic Shift EI Log will be provided

 

Trip Systems


There will be a combined document which contains the information from the register and the schedule in one place.
The register will in effect be replaced by a view.
The ability to modify the register will be restricted.
Trip failures will be similar to now - see Protective Equipment Failures

I and E Document

 
These document will be captured as Document Library documents

 

Civil


There are only 2 open Civil Actions - these will be manually re-created.
The inspections in the system date from 1999 and will NOT be migrated
The new system will support the creation of Civil Items using Item Headers

ALP Actions

 
ALP Actions will become Actionss against the Item Header

 

Piping Specs


The Piping Specs will remain in the old database but will be linked to from the new database

Vessel Gaskets

 
The Vessel Gasket Specs will remain in the old database but will be linked to from the new database

 

Mod Forms


Mod Forms will be accessed via the navigator ( opeing into the root menu of the Mods system ) or , for equipment specific mods, via the Item Header

PVI Logs

 
The PVI Logs will be discarded as they are obsolete

 

Root Cause Analysis


RCA Documents will become Failure Notes.
The Open actions within Root Cause Analysis will become Actions against failure notes

Technical Docs

 
Technical Docs will be managed as Document Library documents

 

KPI


Technical Docs will be managed as Document Library documents

O/H Reports

 
Will be managed as Note to File flagged appropriatley
 

Other

Read Records

 
The old system logged who read records - this is no longer required.
