What it does

The Skills and Roles Manager not only acts as a skills ( training ) records system but also automatically highlights the gaps between the skills required by a persons role and the skills that they hold. It is ideal for organisations such as chemical manufacturers where peoples ability to perform in a role is tightly aligned with their skills ( training ).
 
Ease of use and "self service" by line managers are key themes.
 

Background

 The Skills and Roles Manager product has evolved out of a series of projects to manage Training Records and Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs ). These projects focused on making it easier for line managers to find and record training information for their teams and to easily identify what training gaps existed between what each person held and what was required by their roles.

Availability

A Lotus Notes based application is available now and can be purchased out right or rented by the month. We can also supply it as a SAAS ( Software as a Service ) offering. A web based offering is planned.

Management of historical training records
Scheduling of proposed and planned training
Allocation of individuals to Roles and automatic generation of a Skills Gap Report
Automatic rescheduling of training based on expiration or appointment to new roles
Graphical reporting
